Service was spot on. The waitress was attentive and the food was delicious and everything I imagined. Prices were reasonable and food portions were generous.
Not happy, those 5 star reviews must have been made by employees. Grits and eggs were not properly cooked, unseasoned and the vegetables were blah... AND THEN... there were ants crawling on the wall and table. The waitress was slow and a bit rude.
A beautiful sunday morning at Jackson Soul Food. The restaurant was clean and smelled good. We had a very great server name Trese. It was a slight wait,' however the food was hot, fresh and was definitely worth waiting for. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
Food was not as it appear in ratings or pictures. All of the condiments were no frills. Came from Dollar Tree. I asked for coffee and they brought me canned milk... i orders cat fish and it sis not taste like cat fish - I actually have no idea what is was - prob fish from dollar tree . The “homemade” biscuits tasted like card board and no frills. I was extremely disappointed in this place as they advertise celebrities coming here to dine and I’m it’s impossible that a celebrity would eat this food- but then I️ heard they have another location in which they cater to a different class of people . Needless to say i was disappointed that they would charge $13 for a meal that costs them prob $4 to create...
Took uber ride 20 minutes to eat here be cause of the menu. The waiter was rude. Its 12:30 pm and they said we had to order breakfast because the family went out of town and had not gotten back to go to the store. My husband and I are super pissed. Embarrassing because people always say black owned business provide bad service. As an African American this place is ghetto. FYI- you should update your website for big changes like this. The bathroom smelled like piss.
