What an AMAZING DAY!! I had no idea of the overhaul that Metro Zoo received since was renamed Zoo Miami. There is so much to see and if you took your time, which we did, you could easily spend two days to see it all. I definitely recommend this as an easily affordable date or a fun day with the kids. The animals looked well taken care of and had plenty of room to move around which made us both happy. We even ate lunch in a gazebo while watching a trainer feed and talk about the elephants. The Look on my Girlfriend's face the entire day, in itself made the whole trip worth it for me. She Looked So Beautiful and Happy! You can't buy memories like that. I'm sure we will be returning within the year, we had an amazing day!

We will definitely come back!

You'll need half day to go all around the zoo. They have many ways to make it easy: monorail, safari cycles, tram tours.

A zoo overrated when u read bout visiting Miami. In reality is a weakly managed setup. The cost of entry is about 26 bucks each adult. Most animals are heavily sedated so they are all sleeping. A large portion is shut due to recent hurricane which no one would tell when you buy tickets,

Me and my family live close by and love the zoo.. We enjoy our family outings here and my children love it. We decided and got a membership.. Now we just go straight to the gate any day we want.. The new addition of the Everglades is awesome.. The wet- splash zones are great for those hot summer days I do feel they should open at 9AM instead of 10AM.. 7 hours is just not enough to take it all and really go through all the zoo.

This was our first time visiting the zoo and we were impressed by the renovations. We arrived on a week day around 10 am and couldn't see some animals at first but after going around with monorail and going back around noon they were all there (some awake some sleeping). We.could feed the giraffes (they have a full family of 4 and more). It was awesome, my 5 yo enjoyed a lot when the long giraffe ' s tongue grabbed gently the lettuce from his hand.

It was such a beautiful zoo. There were so many exhibits, and it took 4 hours to look at them all. They offer bike type carts for families to ride around on too. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because there were a few animals that were in tiny enclosures all alone with nothing to do and no friend to play with, they just sat and stared at the floor the entire time, bored out of their mind. And there were a few animals that were so skinny I could see nearly their entire skeleton. But other than those few, the animals seemed happy and healthy.
