The nerve of the company's van to park directly in front of an exit knowing there's other families trying to leave to be with there love ones. I called the company and an employee stated we just have to wait until the burial is over. Yes, I'm livid and feel disrespected. Now I'm sitting here waiting because I have time obviously to write this since I'm WAITING. Your company and A.M.E church should be ashamed of yourselves
For it to have been my first experience with Paradise Memorial .Words can not express the disappointment that I encountered. Death is never easy to accept especially when your love one is tragically taken away. I personally had a brief conversation with the funeral director Mr.Van Brown. He promised to call me back in regards to something that was weighing heavy on my heart since my aunts tragic death. Needless to say Mr.Brown's promise was never fulfilled. From the the very beginning my family agreed to have a closed casket funeral service. I called the funeral home the day before my aunts funeraI. To aware them that I will be dropping off a sentimental item, to be placed in my aunt's casket. Just to be told by one of the staff members that"No one was allowed to come to the funeral home reguarding my aunt".Baffled by his response I called again to clarify that I didn't want to view her body.I just wanted to drop something off for them to place in her casket. Only to be told again the same response . Along with they're locking the doors, mind you its 4pm.To make matters worst my phone calls were blocked. For the life of me I couldn't understand the staffs negative, insensitive behavior. I was never rude or disrespectful towards any of the staff. I was just a grieving niece that wanted a piece of me inside my aunts casket. I will never recommend anyone to do business with Paradise Memorial. Planning your love ones burial arrangements can be an emotional roller coaster. Especially when your dealing with rude, unprofessional, dishonest, cold hearted individuals.
I have known many of the staff at Paradise Memorial for over 25 years. There attention to details and care during difficult grieving times is second to none. "People Don't Care How Much You Know Until They Know How Much You Care".
Very friendly and compassionate they did great work with my grandmother when she passed away love it highly recommended. ..
I have done funerals under the direction of Mr. Van Brown for over 25 years. Paradise memorial is the only funeral home that I recommend. The staff is thoughtful, sympathetic, courteous and always professional.
