Didn't get to stay as the tent only area ($16/night) was still filled with debris from Irma. Gated community. saw couple of city police patrolling the area at dusk. place also had its own security guard riding around in a golf cart. Lots of RVs and campers when I got there (looked full) so make sure you reserve your spot or get there early enough. Front office closes at 5p.
We were here for a little more than 2 weeks. Lovely park and the staff is very accommodating and kind. :) I felt safe and would definitely recommend.
A couple of friends and I stayed at this park for tent camping. Our friends called two weeks before we had stayed and the front office told them we could go to the campgrounds and pay in the morning time and that a security guard would escort us to the tent grounds. When we arrived, no one was at the office and there were no security guards around. We drove to the campgrounds and set up our tent. Finally, a security guard came to where we set up and gave a sign to put up by our tent and told us to just pay in the morning. First thing at 8am, we were being told that only tent camping is not allowed and that we needed to leave due to hurricane cleanup. There were just a couple branches down, we were not even in the way. We were fine with leaving, it was just the fact that the staff was very rude and we were told false information and we had called TWO weeks ahead of time.And we live 4.5 hours away from the campsite. Definitely will not stay again!
We are staying for 2 months. The bath/shower and laundry rooms are clean. Lots of biking,walking areas and pool. Lots of trees make sites comfortable.
Beautiful, beautiful beach. Good play ground. For kids to be. But, my car window, was broken. And got a lot of my personal, things. I, did a police report. Park didn't, do s thing for me. And that was at the medal, of a Sunday, very, busy day. And no one also. Saw, anything. Happened at 1:45, pm. Be very, very careful. When you going, and be there. Always, watch, your KIDS, AND YOUR CARS
