I'm not one to complaint or say much about my personal life. But tell me how just parking the car in the trailer park visitors parking lot ended up on my husband getting arrested only because he was speaking what was on his mind. Isn't it called Freedom of speech! 1st of all we were walking away from our car after it was parked and locked because he works late it was 12:40am when a cop all of a sudden rushed to where we were and flashed the lights. 2nd he questioned us and we understood his concern because yes cars have gotten burgalized including mine! (Not that they care) then they ask if we have drugs I don't smoke but hubby had probably a dime inside the car when asked he spoke truthfully. Then they check the car without warranty. 3 different cops did not find more or for matter find anything else. Then the Sweetwater cops have the odacity to lie in the statement for (PTA) saying my husband reached into his left pocket and threw the dime bag in the grass!! When it was a complete lie because the cop found the dime bag inside the car. Mind u by the time the cops found the weed bag my husband was handcuff inside the cop car. After being unhandcuffed to sign the paper the cop started pushing him because my husband was saying he wasn't going to sign a paper that stated a lie. So when he was shown a statement saying false information and My hubby started accusing this "Cop" of corruption! This cop started Cursing and pushing my husband provoking my husband to get mad and my husband lifted his hands and then they decided to not give him a PTA but handcuff him again and make a false charge just because he said this is a false statement and the cops are corrupted! I agree I respect the law but what happened tonight it was completely unnecessary and unfair. Mind u I'm 6 months pregnant and the stress they caused for no reason isn't correct, after the stress I started having pre contractions! Also when taking my husband to jail this cop almost hit me with his car while taking off. Because he was mad at my husband. Disrespect accused and bothered for no reason! What do u have to say City of Sweetwater Police Department!!!!
Poor and bad!!!! Am calling to ask why you guys are holding the red light in front of dolphin mall for more than 10 minutes creating heavy duty traffic but nobody answers.
Best officer i have encounter by far Officer Mayda Alvarez, dedicated and very professional a great example to her department and a very great image to women on the force.
I’m a resident of Florida City. And I just encountered an officer from the Sweetwater PD here in Florida City. I tried calling the police department with the number provided but no one answered the phone. This officer started to make an U turn at a light where oncoming traffic had a green light.. myself being a passenger in an oncoming vehicle. The officer did not stop and my brother had to slam on his brakes to avoid the officer. Their lights and/or sirens were not on. And once they completed the U turn he/she could be seen going in and out of their lane and in to the next. Not sure what their issue was but it was a bit ridiculous. Not sure if the department themselves read these comments. But the number on the police car was 7232 and the tag was XD7000.
