Was referred to Vanni by Dr Greens office. Presented Vanni with x-rays and Mrs reports which stated several issues with my lumbar spine. He dismissed me immediately and told me to loose weight. It seems he feels he's some kind of weight loss expert because he used to be fat. He failed to review my ex rays altogether and missed two issues on my mri. I suggest he get back to what he is employed for by UM and stop pushing his weight loss program and upcoming book.
Love this Doctor, so helpful and explained things I could understand. Very good doctor with a lot of Knowledge. Has a great office , staff very friendly.

I am a 44 year old women that got hurt doing Cross Fit. I had been suffering from severe nerve pain running down my left leg for over a year! I was living with chronic pain. I had gone to see several doctors that just prescribed pain meds (which I never took)! Finally I went to see Dr Vanni at UM Hospital and he recommended a CT Scan of my back and I had a Pars Defect and herniated disc on L5 S1. I needed to have back surgery to fix the problems that was causing me so much pain and suffering, what I really loved about Dr Vanni was that he did not push me into having surgery he said it was completely my choice. He is one of the few doctors in Miami that only do surgery if it is absolutely necessary! All I can say is that the surgery was the best decision I made! I am feeling great now with zero pain! My surgery was done on 09/26/2016 and I am healing great and feeling great! I had a bone fusion to fix the pars defect and the disc was removed to relieve the severe nerve pain. Oh,and the surgery was all done from my lower left side of belly, at first I was a bit freaked out but in my case it was the best choice and I have a little scar only about 3 inches long so my back was never cut and the healing time was much quicker too! So again I can't thank Dr Vanni enough times for fixing my back so I could have my life back! I tell everyone who is having back problems to go see Dr. Vanni he is the best in Miami! Five Stars all day long!!!!
After years of being in pain and afraid to do the surgery I was referred to Dr. Steven Vanni. I haven't felt this good in years and I'm just 2 1/2 months post-op. Had immediate relief of symptoms and am regaining strength in my right arm. Staff was fast, friendly and efficient. Dr. Vanni took his time in evaluating and explaining my condition and fully explained the procedure and what to expect. I would highly recommend
