Place was closed!!! Only way to know this is to look on Facebook as their website doesn’t give any specifics. Poor customer experience indeed.
The look in dad's face as we rode the diesel engine train, and look on the face of little boy as he was running around the place will make you want to make sure that place will be there for others.

It's trains. What's there to not like!
Unbelievable how a museum doesn’t state on their web page nor google maps that it is close until January!! I bought tickets how thats possible?! We live in Coral Springs and that was a VERY LONG trip FOR NOTHING!!! Because u are so irresponsible that your google info says that u are open now and your web page doesn’t say that u are remodeling until January ... such a fail!!
I personally enjoyed this museum very much, but it definitely isn't for everyone. I am not a person who is really into trains, but I can appreciate these locomotives at the museum. What I do love is history and these trains at the museum transport me to a time that I was never apart of so it captured my enthusiasm for history. For example one of the trains that I enjoyed the most was a train that seems to date back to the 50's and 60's and it was a passenger train. I could go into the different cabins and dinning areas and it really made me feel like I was stepping into history. In my honest opinion this museum is best for people who love history, vehicle engineering, and obviously trains. One last thing you can pay extra to ride in the locomotive (the front train car) and they let you drive the train it was pretty cool.
All outdoors so be sure to go on a cooler day but an overall wonderful place to take any train enthusiast.
The only major complaint I have is that the equipment needs maintenance very badly. Everything there needs an overhaul.
Models are cool and the standing passenger cars are cool to walk through.
That being said, it's worth the trip to support it.
