Is is a scam. They set you to fail and keep your money.

I am not a student that was "set up, money taken, to fail", I succeeded. I graduated with my ASN but it was not an easy road. I'm not talking about the material or difficulty of the classes because lets face it, if you have the book you have the knowledge. When I mention administration in this post I am not talking about the deans of the school (I believe Cristy and Michelle are very qualified and helpful; the other seems to always be in a bad mood) I'm referring to the nursing program. I'm talking about the Associates Nursing Program in particular. Classes began unorganized. No one seemed to know what was going on. Two of my class mates were let go due to background checks. Keiser does an initial background check when applying.. Why accept two students that wouldn't have made it be enrolled and wast a month of their time? Professors come and go. I am not blaming the professors, the only logical explanation for such a high turnover rate has to be poor job satisfaction. The Director (remaining nameless) of the nursing program is probably my least favorite about the program in its entirety. Always talking negative to students (except for the initial student interview; that day she was quite delightful), conversations are always one sided (don't waist your time going into that office, she doesn't care quite frankly). Personal vendettas are real you guys. I made it through the nursing program. I was 1 of 7 out of an original 23.

I don't go to Keiser but I have a few friends that have done the nursing program and the OTA program. The classes are very intense to the point that even if you didn't have to work they would still seem difficult. I like the idea of one class per month but a student cannot do a PowerPoint presentation, an 3-8 essay APA style and still have to read few chapters about 8... to do a quiz, test, midterm etc. all in the same day, maybe this method works for the other students that I do not know but I would not be able to process or learn this way and I am a fairly good student. I would gladly change my star rating if the quizzes were more to the point rather than here's 10 chapters, read it and lets hope that what you understood shows up in the quiz. I'm really just tackling their method because it makes a great difference when you score high on the class work (HW) and then somehow only get 60s or 70s on the tests and average a low B if not C.

The only good thing about this school are some of the teachers, on the other hand, when you get into a core program like Occupational therapy assistant they never tell you that if you do not pass one of the classes you have to wait 4 months or more, pay almost 5000 dollars and if you fail the same class or another for second time, you have to restart the course since the beggining. '' Be aware guys''

If I could give this school ZERO stars I would. The staff at Doral campus is not only unprofessional but uneducated. You'd think for all of the money you pay they would care for their students... or at least pretend like they do. I have had several issues with the financial aid department and the bursars office. Every time I go or I call I am given all sorts of different information. One person says one thing and the other says something else and in the end the information given to me is wrong!! Truly horrifying. I went in to meet with Raquel (financial aid department) on March 7th because Ruben called out sick. I was told by Raquel I was going to get about $900 back from my financial aid within 2-3 weeks and was reassured by her it would be deposited into my bank account. Today, April 10th, I called to follow up with the money I was suppose to get back and guess what?! IT WAS ALL A LIE!! A month later, after I called extremely confused and upset, is when Raquel decided to finally specify that those $900 were part of a loan and that I would not receive any money. A WHOLE MONTH LATER!!! Thank God I took it upon myself to call her because she didn't even remember who I was or what we spoke about. How can someone forget to specify such important information?!?!?!?!?! LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND WORK ETHIC. This is not the first incident I have had with this department it is about the fourth. It is scary to know that such uneducated and unprofessional people are handling the students money, loans, payments, etc... After two years of consecutive problems, confused employees, lack of information, and lies I have finally decided to withdraw from Keiser University. THIS SCHOOL ONLY CARES ABOUT YOUR MONEY!!!!!! For all my fellow students, please do not waste your time or your money on this school. I will make sure to inform my friends, loved ones, and fellow peers the horrifying truth about Keiser University. IT IS ALL A SCAM! Don't make the same mistake I made and stick to Miami-Dade College or FIU. Extremely disgusted with this school and the little it has to offer! Please improve your work ethic, standards, employees, and information given to students in order to insure positive feedback from your students and your community! TRULY A TERRIBLE TWO YEARS SPENT AT KEISER!
