The Haitian consulate is an embarrassment at best, and the staffs provide mediocre customer service. The entrance security guard is so incredibly grumpy and unprofessional, I felt like I was spy or foreigner. Many Haitians resorted to become US citizens because Haiti's consulate employees are allergic to the provision of humanly service to Haitians.
(THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS SUCKS) It's been over two months calling this Circus of an establishment.In order to handle anything through these people you have to go there in person, and you will see for yourself how rude,unorganized,dysfunctional & nonbusiness oriented they are.It's hard to believe this is a
Horrible customer service. That lady needs to take a class so they can explain to her how to talk to customers. She is very rude. This is not Haiti, she needs help.
I can not complain about the Haitian Consulate because these people are trying to improve. They have done a 270 rotation since the last time I went to the consulate in 2009. They are improving and there is always room for improvement. They are doing a great job, keep it up. I do not understand why complain about a building when we should be happy to have one. They are respecting us as a customer and we as Haitian should respect them for their accessible to get some of our documents.
This place is disorganized. They will give you a ticket with a number and not call your number, a person just sticks their head out of the door and yells " next! Leaving the customers to bicker back and forth with each other on who is suppose to go next. What is the point of giving numbers if your not going to call them. I suggest you just make lines instead to avoid confusion and angry people. They also lack customer service, most who works there have on a nonchalant face not looking to help you if you have questions. Plan to be there for an hour or more depending if it's busy or not.
