I've been coming to this hospital since 2007. I've never had a problem, all the doctors and nurses are amazing they are all bilingual and very fast. I love the service and the feel of the place in general. It's clean and it's not hot like some people are saying.
My brother was in ICU 2 weeks ago & unfortunately passed away, the doctors there were great & very honest from the very beginning but the nurses at some point gave us false hopes saying they thought he could make it & then when we spoke to the doctors they said they didn’t think so. Our family went through a very tragic experience & it’s not right to give false hopes to a family that was praying for a miracle. On top of that I am pregnant & when I was told my brother was brain dead I had a panic attack & was sent to ER, the nurse that attended me in the beginning was very rude knowing the situation I was going through & was giving my mother in law attitude. Do not recommend the ER of this hospital, the ICU has excellent doctors if you have any questions just ask them & not the nurses.
The worst care for my dad. He went in with a broken hip and developed severe complications. My father contracted hepatitis from a blood transfusion here. But the worst part was when he had surgery for an intestinal blockage and the attending surgeon actually showed me a photograph of my father opened up on the operating table.i was just 23 years old. This has haunted me for years I am pretty sure the doctor is still is in practice at this hospital. I wish I would have had the nerve to report him to the AMA at the time. I would never send anyone to this horrible hospital. AVOID COMPLETELY UNETHICAL!!!
My mother in law was trauma-hawked to this hospital and placed in ICU. Two broken hips from an auto accident, our nurse was spectacular. His last name was Leon. He was with his other patient but my mother in law was in a lot of pain and needed to be moved as she was so uncomfortable and had to be moved in a special way. While I knew he was busy I asked for another nurses help who was at a desk, I waited for her to look up as I knew she was busy. She blew me off by asking what room we were in and pointed to where my nurse was. I explained I understood but he was busy and she was in pain. She mumbled and got up and walked away. I was taken back but decided to go to the nurse desk, saw the nurse leader waited until she was done speaking, I was 3 ft away from her, we made eye contact, she KNEW I was there waiting for her, the NURSE LEADER (whose name tag said Lila or Lilia) WALKED AWAY AND DIDN’T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE ME. Mind you there were 3 other nurses gathered around hanging out on the desk talking and failed to acknowledge me as well. We’re on the ICU floor, WE ARE IN A HOSPITAL! Unacceptable.
i just made a phone call to the emergency registration intending to find out if a relative of mine had been admitted today. Much to my astonishment an employee who called herself by Celia explained she could not tell me . Without even asking the name of the patient.Though I may understand hippa policies and its implications , just letting someone know if a beloved one is in the facility would not break any. Sad to realize most of reviews are accurate. A much bettet attitude is expected from a hospital staff.Much disgrace to this otherwise good and socially compromised hospital.
