Once I had to be rescued from sea by Miami Fire and Rescue. They took me to Mercy Hospital, which had a boat dock immediately adjacent to their ER ambulance entrance. The way that the hospital was set up, the way that the staff was trained and coordinated their efforts, and the speed in which they did so, saved my life. I have chosen Mercy Hospital for most of my medical needs since that life saving event; two out patience surgeries, three ER visits for myself and others. Each time we have received the same level of care, or better. Mercy Hospital, when it matters most.
This hospital was an in network hospital, however their doctors are not in network and will charge you as such. Very dishonest practices. Any billing representative will talk down to you and are extremely disrespectful. Not to mention the fact that you will receive bills years after your stay. This hospital should be ashamed of how bad they treat their patents. Avoid this scam hospital.
The hospital itself is beautiful, the rooms, bathroom, view, everything is gorgeous! The staff in the ER are a disaster, nurses forget half their stuff and end up taking forever for a simple request. I was there not long ago and was discharged, my nurse was having her break so another nurse took over, she removed my IV line and put an alcohol swab right on my IV line and left for a good 10m, my boyfriend had to go outside and ask if I was ready to go or what. She said she was getting a bandaid, and I told her my wound was hurting because it the alcohol and she said “keep holding it down it’s an antiseptic strategy” never in my whole life have I heard of this, no one has ever done this to me in any hospital ever. Also she didn’t even remove my pulse monitor I ended up taking it off in my car, my nurse also took the longest time to bring my medication because she kept forgetting little things like flush or other things and kept walking out of the room every other minute. The doctors are also really careless, they don’t care about you or at least show it, they just ask you 3 things and then say what they’re gonna give you and then order something totally different, also I’ve been sent home with pain more than once, they don’t understand when you say a specific medication doesn’t work for you...but of course once you’re admitted to the hospital the staff are a whole different thing everyone is on top of everything! I love this hospital but they need to get their staffing right on the ER.
This hospital is the most amazing place. Like everything in life nothing is perfect, but none the less display is a very clean organized, well maintained Hospital. staff is always nice they treat everyone with the respect and delicacy. Wish more hospitals were like this one. Will come here always til my end.
People do hard drugs, drink hard alcohol, dont excercise or eat right bringing their obese pannus in their like no one can care for them as good as they could. They go on to act like they are cheated when the treatment isn't as if God himself did it. Please...
