On October 6th I was waiting for the shuttle for a long time. When I call the office I was told that the system was down for 2 days. Therefore they could not rent a car, and that was the reason they were not sending any shuttle. I went to the office and it was closed. That was a big lie. They were out of cars. After hurricane Irma many out of state workers rented cars.
This place is shady. I prepaid a rental and this agency did not allowed me to rent a vehicle by requiring "$ ONE MILLION" liability insurance for Florida Residents. I requested this in writing a did not provided me nor they allowed me to talk to any manager/supervisor, I was plainly put aside a service the next customer (a non resident). I am filing a formal complaint and this is not over.....
Quite some waiting until we got the car (1h or more). We booked via a 3rd party and the reserved and confirmed SUV wasn't on site. Paper work took the agents quite long (15min. for a pre-ordered car with all my data already on the system). The Dodge Caravan I was offered instead of the Jeep Grand Cherokee had a damaged tire and luckily we noticed before we left. The next van was in perfect condition. Overall, they eventually got us a great car and the transfer to the airport on our way back worked well. You should calculate another 15 bucks per day for mandatory toll charges with addCar.
The worst experience in this area of my life. This is my first review, but I am obliged to do this. It is a society without rules and without law. I had to call the police. They first took me $ 1000 for the bailout then they told me my car was not available! If I wanted I could take a more expensive car. Now they have kept the $ 1000 for three to five days and I do not have the car! I do not recommend this company. Absolutely!
Very nice stuff and fair prices. At first I was pretty scared, because I did not read the opinions before making the reservation. Got caught during hurricane and had to extend the reservation online - no problem (many thanks to Kristian from addcar international). The only downside is that they charged my credit card a lot more than we agreed, but soon I would get a full return. Totally recommend these guys!
I also new from workers from others company that this is not an unusual behavior from Green A car (Addcar). I recommend to state away from them. I was unable to rent a car anywhere else because all rental companies were out of extra cars to rent.
