I rented an Enterprise car though Costco Travel at a significantly better price than the Enterprise website. There was some up-sale to a higher level car but no high pressure. Enterprise continues to be my go to rental car as I have always been treated quite fairly. The car was great but 3 miles from my return at the airport in heavy traffic, the car began to overheat. I did not think I would make it to return. The car came through and I arrived without a breakdown. I told them the car could not be rented again until servicing. The customer service person indicated they could give me a discount or upgrade on future rentals. Very nice. I chose the upgrade but to date have never received that compensation.
I had several issues with the vehicle I rented from Enterprise recently. Nothing serious, but a few things that could have been better. When I returned the vehicle, I explained the issues and my service representative asked "what can we do to make it right?" I suggested a resolution, they agreed, delivered on their promise. Things go wrong. It happens. My experience with Enterprise is usually wonderful. This one issue was handled politely, quickly, and with a smile.
Horrible experience with this location if you can find it. Be aware that the rental cars are off the airport. You have to take a tram which Miami airport calls a "Mover". What the heck is a mover (not Enterprise's fault). I tried numerous times to call them and no one ever picks up 5am to 11:40pm No one picks up. I will never rent from this location again. Even the 800 number can't get thru to them.
The experience inside the rental car center was quick but once we got outside there were no cars in the class we had reserved. We were told we had a choice of upgrading and pay the difference for the class of car we chose, we could take a smaller car, or we could wait for a car in the class we reserved. We chose to wait and only had to wait two or three minutes for a car. Not bad and we did get a brand new car. The drop off was very simple and straight forward. I will say this though, the journey from the rental car center to the terminal is not short or quick.
We picked up a Ford Focus for a long weekend in Miami area. The car was brand new, worked very well, as you would expect. Service upon check out and return was fast and courteous. Price was right and all things worked better than expected. Thanks!
